You’re invited to the 9th Annual Teaching for Justice Curriculum Fair!
NOVEMBER 21st, 2009
10am-5pm
Orozco Academy in Chicago’s Pilsen Neighborhood
1940 W. 18th Street (Corner of Damen)
Free and open to all peoples
ORGANIZED BY TEACHERS FOR SOCIAL JUSTICE of Chicago and with support from a network of wonderful progressive & radical educator organizations around the country, this year’s Curriculum Fair will be welcoming over 500 educators of all kinds from Illinois, New York, Wisconsin, California, Oregon, Indiana & more.
WE’RE CREATING A SPACE where teachers can “exhibit” & share social justice-related curriculum they’ve created. Speak up if you’ve got it! Where teachers, young people & youth organizers can offer vital workshop trainings. Where organizations can share resources & energy. Where we can hear stories from some of the countries finest. Where folks can network, offer knowledge, get supported, get uplifted.
All in the name of building an Education Movement for Liberation…
EVERYTHING IS VOLUNTEER-DRIVEN. And there’s lunch, arts on display & healing space offered. Straight up.
PLEASE SAY YES! Though pre-registration isn’t required. Show up for an hour or all day.
